Giant Panda Mei Xiang Has Given Birth To Adorable Twin Cubs In US Zoo

Keepers at a zoo in the united states, had a surprise when the giant panda Mei Xiang gave birth to cute twin panda's. Panda's are an endangered animal specie, and are notoriously difficult to breed in captivity. So this is huge.

Staffers at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington DC, discovered she was pregnant last week during an ultra sound. Mei is on loan to the Zoo from china. The national zoo is one of the four zoo's in the US to have pandas, all loaned from china. BBC reports that the cub's are healthy. Mei Xiang who has twoother offspring is one of the zoo's star attractions.

N200 Million Naira To Be Disbursed To Youth Corpers With Buisness Ideas For Start Up

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Friday, August 21, said it has secured over N200 million bank facility for disbursement to corps members as loans to enable them start their businesses.

Brig.-Gen. Johnson Olawumi, the Director-General of the corps, said this when the Commander, Guards Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brig.-Gen. Musa Yusuf, paid a familiarisation visit to the NYSC Headquarters in Abuja.

"That has been a challenge; we train these corps members in the camp after the camp we have partners all over the country where corps members also receive training throughout the service year.

Transgender Is Asking The Public For N3.1million To Fully Become A woman

A student who was born a man has launched a public appeal for fund to enable her undergo surgery to fully become a women.

Nikki Hayden, a University of Westminsterstudent, set up an account on Crowdfunding website Gofundme.com hoping to raise £10,000 (about N3,125,343).

The money is meant for surgical procedures like breast implants and removal of her Adam's apple.

She said the National Health Service (NHS) cannot fund her operations, hence the need to turn to members of the public.

"The NHS won't pay for the additional ops which are crucial to help me become who I am," she said.

"So I've had to launch a transgender surgery campaign online."

Nikki said getting the operations is important to her life, adding that she had even contemplated suicide.

Nigerian Music producer OJB Jezreel who had a Kidney transplant two years ago in india, has revealed how much he spends on drugs and treatments monthly following the successful transplant. Speaking with Punch Newspaper, OJB said:

 “Right from the day I had the transplant, I have been spending close to N350,000 every month on my drugs, treatment in the hospital, dieting and every other thing.”
