The internet has been buzzing about a report issued by Radar online that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are getting divorced after 17 years of marriage. But we can all relax as Will smith puts all that rumor to rest via his Facebook page. Will smith 46, considers his wife Jada Pinkett Smith 43, his Queen and reveals that there is no truth to the divorce rumor. He says
“Under normal circumstances, I don’t usually respond to foolishness (Because it’s contagious). But, so many people have extended me their ‘deepest condolences’ that I figured – “What the hell… I can be foolish, too!” So in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over &over-again-ness… Jada and I are… NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : -) I promise you all – if I ever decide to divorce by Queen – I SWEAR I’ll tell you myself!”
Will’s response comes after Radar Online reported he and Jada had “worked out a confidential settlement to protect their $240 million fortune and prepare their kids for the fallout.” The site claims that the pair are planning to announce the divorce at the end of the summer, but other sources say, even though there are problems in the marriage, there won’t be an official split any time in the near future.
“They have tried to make it work, and the reason they stay together is because they feel it would be detrimental for the kids to break up,” an insider reveals. (Will and Jada are parents to son Jaden, 17, and daughter, Willow, 14). “So they never pull the trigger on a divorce, but it’s been thought about for years. A divorce is possible since they’ve talked about it in the past, and there is relationship trouble, but I wouldn’t plan on it happening any time soon.”
