The Holy Spirit Ministers To Me In My Dreams - Fast Rising Singer Sloagbade Sola

Fast rising gospel singer, Solagbade Sola Olaonipekun, seems ready to take her career to the next level with four studio albums under her belt. The songstress told Saturday Beats that her calling in life is to win souls for Christ through her music.
Solagbade who released her fourth studio album in May said she had been working round the clock to take her music to a totally new level in spite of the many challenges confronting gospel musicians in the country.

Speaking on her new project, the songstress said she was inspired into music by the Holy Spirit and would never rely on her talent or strength before she does anything.
“I get my inspiration from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit ministers to me, sometimes in my dream. I might be cooking at home and I get the inspiration. But I do pray for songs because I also write theme songs for church programmes,” she said.
Solagbade said that although she already had four albums, things have not been very easy for her as a gospel singer. She added that it has not been easy getting a promoter for her albums.
She said, “I will say God is my promoter. When I gave my work to three companies, all of them endorsed it and told me they loved the work. But they later disappointed me saying that artistes are the only ones benefiting from music these days. What I deduce from that is that most of them don’t really want to spend their money to promote artistes.”
On her disposition to secular music, she said she likes music that adds value and gives hope while lifting the soul of listeners.
“I like music that adds value and gives hope while lifting the souls of listeners. Salvation is a gift from God; I have seen the likes of Evang. Ebenezer Obey who had been passing wonderful messages to people long before they gave their lives to Christ,” she said.
Despite the daunting challenges, she vowed to keep moving on. Asked if she would remain a gospel singer for the rest of her life, she said, “As long as I live, and with the help of God, I believe I have what it takes to hold the fort. The grace of God is there to see me through. Moreover, gospel music is not a profession but a calling, and God will supply the grace to finish well and strong.”
