ANGELINA JOLIE is said to have asked to be kept "in the loop" about the sequel to her Disney blockbuster Maleficent, although she hasn't yet signed on to play the famous villain again.

The Maleficent 2 script, by Linda Woolverton, is being written with a view to Jolie reprising her role,Deadline reports, although it has not yet been confimed if Robert Stromberg - who made his directorial debut for the first film - will also return.
Although expensive and difficult to make - costing more than $180 million - the film grossed almost $760 million worldwide.
