The national chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu has reportedly resigned.
According to Thisday, his resignation is with immediate effect.
PDP has been in crisis since the outcome of the 2015 general elections in which it performed woefully.
Following the outcome of the polls, several party stakeholders called for Mu’azu’s resignation.
In a related development, Thisday also reports that President Goodluck Jonathan has asked the chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees, Chief Anthony Anenih to resign as the BOT chairman.
According to the paper, it is not yet known whether Anenih has accepted to resign or not.
