Two Shot Dead In Court In Milan

Two people have been shot dead after gunfire broke out at the Palace of Justice in Milan, according to Italian media.
Italy's ANSA news agency said at least two people have been hit and some parts of the building has been evacuated. ANSA quoted the president of the appeals court, Giovanni Canzio, as saying two people had died, one of whom is believed to be a judge.

The shooter is still at large within the building, Judge Canzio said. He is understood to have been a defendant in a bankruptcy case and has been identified in Italian media as Claudio Giardiello.
Witnesses told AFP the gunman was in a suit and tie and fired "at least three or four shots". Sky TG24 reported that the gunman was barricaded in a room on the upper floor of the building.
A person speaking to Sky News from inside the building said: "We are locked inside our rooms and have been told not to leave. The court is in lockdown, the suspect is moving around the grounds."
