RAPPER IKECHUKWU GOES TO SCHOOL

Rapper Ikechukwu who has dabbled into acting a few times in the past, has decided to take the profession seriously by enrolling in the New York Film Academy. The rapper took to his Instagram page to announce the news to his fans by posting a photo of a sign which read ‘Acting For Film’. He then captioned the photo: “Early Class is kicking my ass . #nyc #nyfa #CANTSTOPWONTSTOP. ”


Ikechukwu has a few notable movie appearances which include his participation in the short film ‘ The Wages ‘ which was directed by Walter ‘Walt Banger’ Taylor. The movie won the Best Short Film category at AMVCA 2014. The rapper also scored a recurring role in the second season of TV series, ‘Gidi Up’ The enrollment of Nigerian celebrities especially musicians, into the New York Film Academy has become a sort of trend in the industry. Celebrities such as Banky W and Dr. Sid are some who have enrolled at the famous Academy, particularly to study directing.
