Kermit The Frog Gives First Interview After Split From Miss Piggy....His Girl Of 40 Years!!

O my, even Kermit can't stay in a relationship? What are males turning into these days?!

Fans of ‘The Muppets’ are still stunned by the break-up between Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy. In his first interview since the split, Kermit revealed why he and Piggy called it quits, saying they grew apart in ‘two different directions.’ Of course we are still upset, kermit you are suppose to be the toughest guy!!

Out of all of the big Hollywood Break-Ups this year, the split between Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy might be the most shocking! Kermit finally explained why the nearly forty-year long relationship came to an end. He even detailed what’s next for both him and Piggy!

Kermit sat down with Entertainment Tonight on Aug. 5 to shed some light on what ended his relationship with Miss Piggy. When asked how he was doing since announcing his break-up, Kermit seemed sad, at first. He then admitted, “It’s not all bad. In fact, it’s fine.”

“It’s an interesting thing that happens sometimes,” Kermit said. “You’re with someone for years, and you suddenly discover that you have gone in two different directions. And when you’re a frog and a pig, those directions can be extreme.” (lol. he is silly).

Though he and Piggy were together for nearly 40 years, Kermit said he had already moved on to a new squeeze. The Muppets Most Wanted star said he has a new girlfriend named Denise, who is allegedly the head of Marketing at ABC. What?!

Though there may be some lingering feelings between them, Kermit said that he and Piggy are “both working professionals,” so they will appear together on their new ABC series, The Muppets. Kermit also dropped some hints about what fans can expect, telling ET that they’ll have “celebrity guests” on every show. He even said that Piggy is hosting a late-night program called Up Late. It sounds like Kermit is focusing on his personal life while Piggy takes her career to the next level.

Before the interview ended, Kermit gave some love to the family of Kim Kardashian! Since The Muppets will examine his personal life, Kermit saw some similarities with the reality television royalty. “[The Kardashians’] lives are exposed all over television, which is kind of what’s going to happen to me,” he said. Kermit Kardashian, anyone?
